OBM: Hello guys, at first, please introduce you and your band members?
Jake: vocals, Dan: guitar, Ryan: drums, and Steve: bass.

.

OBM: How looks your private life, and are there any problems to connect it with your music, or is your music and your band the more important for you?
Our music does have a connection to our private lives. We write what we know. Our music and our band are very important to us.

.

OBM: How did you guys meet? And were there any changes of members in the past?
This is going to be a long one. We started in 1995 as a 4-piece in High School, with Ryan on drums and Jake on vocal. After we were thrown out of the school talent show, we knew we were destined for greatness. After a few years of gigging, we lost our original guitar and bass player. We found Dan in a tattoo shop in 1998 and he’s been with the band ever since. We met Steve in Atlanta at the Spring Broke Festival in 2003 when he was playing with the band Southern Riot. When he moved to California from Texas, we snatched him up after losing yet another bass player.

.

OBM: Have you played in other bands before and have you all started with the same musical experiences?
Ryan and Jake have played together in Tried and True since the beginning. Dan and Steve played in several other bands, too many to mention.

.

OBM: What are the main-influences that you present in your music?
Our style is mainly influenced by Oi, punk, hardcore, and metal.

.

OBM: What bands have influenced your own music? Are there any idols? Have you already meet them or played with them?
There are so many bands that have influenced us it would take up too much space to mention them all. We are primarily influenced by early 80’s American hardcore, street punk, and Oi. A few of our major influences are Stormtroopers of Death, Sheer Terror, Agnostic Front, Minor Threat, Combat 84, and Cock Sparrer.

.

OBM: What have you listened to in the past and how has this affect your own music?
We try to take the most aggressive hardcore riffs and blend them with Oi and street punk anthems, combining them with skinhead hardcore.

.

OBM: So, let’s go to your actual album which has juicy cover. How is it actually meant?
We came up with the title “Ten Year War” because it took us ten years to come out with an album that we were proud of. We had several artists submit different pieces of art. We decided to go with our friend Jerry’s artwork because it was most representative of our struggle to come out with the first album.

.

OBM: What kind of messages are you presenting in your new album?
No real message, just a musical kick-in-the-teeth.

.

OBM: Are your songs affected by political themes? And how is this presented in your new album?
We tend to stay away from political themes. Our music reflects the current state of our daily lives and scene.

.

OBM: Have you already played in Germany or Europe? Are you planning a tour to Europe that our readers have the chance to see you?
Unfortunately, we have not played in Germany of Europe. There are tentative plans to play in Basque Country and we would love to explore any opportunities to play Europe in the near future.

.

OBM: Are there any small Bands coming out of California, that we might not have heard of and which you want to present?
There are some great bands coming out of California. These are just a few of them: Donnybrook, Rat City Riot, Los Dryheavers, Massacre Time, Nuts And Bolts, The Harrington Saints, Maya Over Eyes, Lionheart, The Sick, Trouble Maker, Madtown Mulligan, Le Plebe, Whiskey Rebels, Pressure Point, and Main Street Militia.

.

OBM: What is planned for this year? Are there maybe plans for a new album or new tours?
In the spring we plan to do a few dates with the North Side Kings supporting their new album. In July we are planning an East Coast tour playing 10 dates in Boston, Philadelphia, New York City, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Wilmington, North Carolina.

.

OBM: Now, please write the last words or messages you want to admit the German readers or listeners?
Thanks for taking the time to get to know us. We look forward to playing Europe, meeting new friends, and listening to new bands. We would also appreciate any feedback from anybody who bought our album regarding where we should play in Europe.
